Obituary for Alissa Marie Anders
Alissa Marie Anders, age 18, of Kirksville Missouri, passed away at the University Hospital in Columbia Missouri, on January 25, 2022.
Alissa was born August 30, 2003, the daughter of Kevin Anders and Jennifer (Lay) Garrison. From the moment she was born, she was gifted with a beautiful, infectious smile that drew her personality to anyone that was nearby and had the ability of always making people laugh. Alissa attended school in Schuyler and more recently moved to Kirksville where she created a home for her and her soon to be son, Kylan.
Everyone that came in contact with Alissa would say that she was just as beautiful inside as she was out. She loved babies and children and cared for them as if they were her own. When she wasn’t caring for children, she could be found listening to music, admiring horses, or hanging out with her family who she loved dearly.
Alissa is survived by her newborn son Kylan Anders of Kirksville. Her father Kevin Anders of Glenwood Missouri, her mother Jennifer (Jason) Whitehead of Mission, Kansas. Brothers; Logan (Shelby) Garrison of Lancaster and Devin Anders of Kirksville and Larry Anders Jr. of Glenwood. Sisters; Jessica (Jason) Ledford-Zuspann of Green Castle, and Shailyn Anders of Kirksville. Stepsisters include; Ericka Whitehead, Ashley Whitehead, and Kyaira Kimball of Iowa.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family appreciates the community involvement and memorials are suggested to the family and entrusted with Casady-Luscan Funeral Solutions, 355 West Front Street, Green Castle, Missouri, 63544.
