Obituary for Janice E Dimmitt Keller
Janice E. Dimmitt Keller, 88 of Green City, Missouri passed away on Monday June 24, 2019.
She was born January 18, 1931 the daughter of Cleve and Clarice Bledsoe Grisamer.
Janice was united in marriage on January 30, 1949 to Orlan Dimmitt and spent thirty-three wonderful years together before he preceded her in death. In October of 1983 she married Norman Keller who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her parents, son Michael Dimmitt, grandson Joshua Whittom and great grandson Elijah McPike.
She is survived by five children: Elaine Williams and husband Doyle of Browning, MO., Don Dimmitt and wife Janice of Kirksville, MO., Mary Lee Dimmitt Dockery and husband James of Clarksville, MO., Patrick Dimmitt and wife Melinda of Novinger, MO., Beth Whittom of Milan, MO., eighteen- grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; three step children: Norma Keller Mason and husband Harvey of Reger, MO., Helen Keller Caldwell and husband Mike of Milan, MO., Kae Keller Edwards of Milan, MO. and numerous step, grand and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Janice graduated Salutatorian from the Green Castle High School Class of 1948. She was blessed with two wonderful marriages and enjoyed her years as a wife, mother and homemaker. She was an excellent scratch cook, loved her family, gardening, reading, her front porch swing, a good game of pitch and hitting the dance floor at the VFW or Moose Lodge. Education and reading were a passion and something she would encourage everyone to pursue.
A Graveside service is planned for 11:00 am on Saturday July 6, 2019 at the Green Castle Cemetery in Green Castle, MO.
