Obituary for Clarence Lewis Wells Jr.

Clarence Lewis Wells Jr, 87, of Novinger, Missouri passed away on July 4, 2019 at the Loch Haven Senior Living Community in Macon, Missouri.

He was born October 21, 1931 the son of Clarence Lewis Wells and Stella Denoto in Newton, Iowa. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Anna Mae Van Baale Wells; two brothers, Robert Wells and John Jerry Wells; granddaughter, Bobbi Jo Mackenzie; grandson, Robert L. Wells.

Clarence is survived by his wife, Roberta Wells; children, William Lee, Steven Wells, Suzan Wells, Deborah Bazer; step-children, Lewis Anthony, Robert Vanderleast, Randall Vanderleast Robin Rapp; twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-six great grandchildren; brothers, Larry, Steven and Dennis Wells; sister, Elizabeth Wells and numerous nieces and nephews.

Clarence was a man who loved the Lord, God’s green earth and being the greens keeper at the Unionville Golf Course. He enjoyed car racing, traveling and spending the winter’s in Texas.

Clarence served his country in the US Army from 1951-1953 and severed a 24-month tour In Japan and Korea.

Clarence’s wishes were for Cremation and interment at the Jacksonville Veterans Cemetery and Monroe Cemetery in Monroe, Iowa.
