Obituary for Harold David Potter

Harold David Potter, 59 of Green City, Missouri passed away July 14, 2019 unexpectedly at his home.

David was born April 8, 1960 the son of James Henry Potter III and Janie (Christman) Potter. He is preceded in death by his father, grandparents, Harold and Idah Mae Christman and Pete and Onie Potter.

He is survived by his two children, Dalton and Wife Taylor Potter of St. Charles, Missouri, Lindsey Fallon and husband Bobby of Columbia, Missouri; mother, Janie Potter of Green City, Missouri; sisters, Kathy (Potter) Neighbors of Green City, Missouri, Carmon Potter, Renee Potter both of Kirksville, Missouri; brothers, James Potter of McAlester, Oklahoma, Thomas Potter of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, Jade Potter of McAlester, Oklahoma, Johnny Peasha of Muskogee, Oklahoma; special friend and love, Tanya Bland; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

David spent his youth growing up in Wyoming, and Oklahoma before moving to Kirksville, Missouri. At a young age David was accepted into a brick layer apprenticeship and spent many years using his talent and helped with the stonework at Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Missouri and the Adair County Jail. David was a very hard-working man with great skill until failing health.

David enjoyed riding motorcycles, arrowhead hunting and collecting Indian artifacts, animals and especially boxers. He was an avid shopper, enjoyed searching local thrift stores and especially enjoyed the Crossing thrift store in Kirksville, Missouri. He was a member of the Church of God Holiness, loved the Lord and always enjoyed reading and studying his Bible.

A funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday July 22, 2019 at The Church of God Holiness on 1601 N Elson Street, Kirksville, Missouri with Ralph Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Llewellyn Cemetery, Kirksville, Missouri.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Potter, Johnny Potter, Larry Potter, Rob Sizemore Thaxis Neighbors, Ted Bringman, Mikel Nolder and Honorary Pallbearers, Jade and Jimmy Potter.

A visitation is planned for Monday July 22, 2019 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Church of God Holiness at 1601 N Elson Street Kirksville, Missouri.
