Obituary for Twyla Mae Perkins

Twyla Mae Perkins, 81, of Unionville, Mo. passed away of Saturday November 9, 2019 at the Putnam County Care Center.

She was born the daughter of Herbert and Nora (Lynch) Morrow, born April 13, 1938 near Hartford MO. spend all her life in in Putnam county.

Twyla attended school in Putnam county graduating from Unionville High School with the class of 1956. On June 28, 1958 she married James (Jim) Perkins and together they had two children, Geneva and David. During their married life they were engaged in farming, operated the high school store, Hitching Post Flower shop and later managed for seventeen years North Valley townhomes. She and her husband Jim spent most of their years working together side by side
.
Twyla was a real spitfire, strong-willed independent businesswoman who was not afraid to take charge and get things accomplished. She could make whatever is was she set her mind out for, not only succeed but thrive. She was a very good at floral arranging, a master chef in the kitchen, loved her family and always made sure they had what they needed. She lived a full and happy life. She was a member of the Unionville, First Christian Church and her years in life had taught her that God was the true provider and she now rest in his comfort.

Twyla is survived by her husband, Jim Perkins of Unionville, Mo.; her daughter Geneva Butler of Lancaster, MO; son, David Perkins and wife Crystal of Unionville, Mo.; four grandchildren, Sawyer, Kaisee, Austin and Blaine; two brothers, Bob and wife Carol Morrow, James and wife Melinda Morrow; two nephews, Gary Dixon, Ronnie Dixon; six nieces, Judy, Lisa , Lorri, Lynn, Leah, Rachel.

She is preceded in death by her parents; In-laws, Frank and Geneva Perkins and one grandson, Dylan Perkins; one sister, Doris Dixson; one brother, Larry Morrow and niece Linda Morrow.

Twyla’s wishes were for Cremation H20 with A Simplified Funeral Solution in Green Castle, MO.

A graveside service in her honor will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 15, 2019 at the Unionville Cemetery.
