Obituary for Glen Alan Mock

Glen Alan Mock at the age of 70 of Mercer, Missouri passed away in the comfort of his home with his wife, Connie, by his side.

A Celebration of a life well lived, will be held on August 29, 2020 at the Assembly of God in Mercer, MO at 3:00pm.

He was born on February 2, 1950 to Harvie and Dorothy Mock in Kansas City, Missouri.

Preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; parents; grandson, Blake Mock; sister, Debbie Taylor; brother, Keith Mock.

Surviving Glen Mock is his wife of 19 years, Connie; his son, Michael and wife Holly Mock of Napoleon, Missouri;
daughter, Laurie Mock Black of Lexington. Missouri; grandson; Mason Mock of Blue Springs, Missouri; great grandson, Lucas Alan Mock of Blue Springs, Missouri a half-brother, Charles Gillem of Oklahoma City, sisters, Malana Brumble of Independence, Missouri, Tanya Elliott and husband Donald of Parkville, Missouri, Wendy Mock and husband Shawn Kelley of Peculiar, Missouri and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Glen always dressed in his 1880’s western attire, could be found driving his horse and buggy into town and enjoyed Rendezvous’. He and Connie owned a guest ranch, he enjoyed taking the guests horseback riding and telling stories or playing the harmonica around a campfire. He thrived on fishing and hunting and living off the land. He enjoyed teaching and sharing his skills as a Silversmith and Bladesmith. On the ranch he raised Paint Horses and long horn cattle. He said it with passion and honestly that a” Man that loves his work never goes to work.” He always said, “God has blessed me to live my life the way I chose.”
