Obituary for Larry Eugene Bachman

Larry Eugene Bachman, 74, of Kirksville, Missouri passed away surrounded by love, family, and the wonderful care of his Northeast Missouri hospice nurses.

He was born on May 16, 1946 in Kirksville, Missouri the son of Betty Jo Clark and Gernie Arthur Bachman who preceded him in death, also preceding him is death is his son Larry Scott.

Larry loved his country and committed much of his life to defending our nation. He served in Vietnam and during World War II.

Larry also loved his family immensely. He is survived by his loving wife Janet L. Bachman of their home; three of his children, son Dennis Bachman and family of Charles City, Iowa; daughter, Ramona Davis; son, Micheal Dickey; stepmother, Sue Bachman; siblings Billy A. Bachman, Wayne Hall, Todd Bachman, and Judy Kay Williams. Larry’s niece and nephew, Linda and Brad Cain, also survived him. Larry will truly be missed by his grandchildren Destiny Davis, Tonya Dickey, Faith Dickey, Michelle Dickey, Dallas Dickey, and Melvin Shaw, as well as his great grandchildren Delaney Magness, Tony Hazelip, and Franklin Hazelip.

The love of Larry’s family is best represented by his granddaughter Faith’s words when she learned of his declining health, “Hugs all day would make him feel better.”

Any monetary donations can be sent to his niece Linda Cain and his daughter Ramona Davis to assist with Larry’s final expenses.
