Obituary for Nancy Sue Cummins
Nancy Sue Cummins, age 85 of Unionville, MO went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at the Putnam County Memorial Hospital in Unionville, MO.
Nancy was born on January 22, 1937, in Putnam County, Missouri, the daughter of Pearl A. and Geneva G. (Geist) Smith. Nancy attended Unionville schools and graduated from the Putnam County High School with the class of 1955.
Nancy worked for the Unionville Hy-Vee store for 29 years and worked along side Bill on their cattle farm. Nancy loved the Lord and attended the 1st Baptist Church of Unionville for 40 years and most recently was a founding member of Calvary Fellowship Church in Unionville. Most of all Nancy had a magnetic personality and always brought joy and encouragement to everyone she met. Nancy was quick to respond to anyone that had a need and was willing to always lend a hand. Nancy had a very nurturing nature and was a “mother and grand-mother” to so many. She will be greatly missed by everyone that had the privilege to know her.
Nancy is survived by her husband Bill Cummins of Unionville, her son Joe Probasco, of Seward, Nebraska, her brother Jim Smith and family of Tucson, AZ, Grandson Ryan Worth and family of St. Louis, MO, Kaitlynn Worth and family, of San Diego, CA, and Savannah Kennedy, of Kansas City, MO along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Julie Weir, her siblings; Dorothy Myre, Lois Munden, Maxine Osterberg, Stella Maulsby-McFarland, Donna Fisher and an infant brother.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Unionville Cemetery with Pastor Howard Luscan officiating. A public visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 8th from 1:00 – 6:00 pm at the Casady-Luscan Funeral Solutions in Green Castle, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers memorials contributions can be given to Calvary Fellowship Church and left at or mailed to the funeral home at 355 West front street, Green Castle, MO 63544.
Casady-Luscan Funeral Solutions have been entrusted to care for the Cummins family at this time.
