Ashley Desire’ Smith, age 31 of Kirksville, MO passed away on February 28, 2022, at her residence in Kirksville. Ashley was born on May 28, 1990 in Kirksville, MO the daughter of Ronald Andrew and Mary Ann (Bartlett) Reed. She was raised in Kirksville and attended the local schools graduating with the class of 2008. Ashley was employed with the Kirksville School system in the food service department.
Ashley was united in marriage to Joshua Smith on April 19, 2013 in Kirksville, MO. In her free time she loved crocheting, crafts and being outdoors with her children and her family and friends.
Ashley is survived by her mother Mary Ann Maverick of Kirksville, her husband Joshua Smith of Kirksville, her children: Jayce Smith, Caydence Shoush, Carson Locust, Joshlynn Smith, Jordan Smith, Jayden Smith and Jacob Anderson along with her siblings: Dakota (Barbara) Reed, Jasmine Ihnat, Shawn Reed, Melissa Reed-Morse and husband Shannon, Angel Ransom and husband Larry, Latisha Reed, Emily and Grayling, Samantha Grgurich and husband Derek, Jenny Fish, Brandon Reed, Tyler Compton and wife Sara, Sara Reed, Mark Reed, Jerod Reed, and sister-in-law Michelle Tester as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ashley had a special relationship with her aunt Teresa Bartlett and cousin Darcia VanSickel.
She was preceded in death by her father; Ronald Andrew Reed, her brother Jeremy Reed and grandparents Harvey and Clara Bell (Norfolk) Reed and Harold and Alta Bartlett.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday March 4, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the First Assembly of God church in Kirksville, MO. A memorial has been established to the families choice and can be sent to the funeral home at PO Box 2, Green Castle, MO 63544
